Happy people then healthy profits
Creda Communications was founded in 1954 and is one of the largest privately owned commercial printers in South Africa. The company has embraced the triple bottom line concept encapsulated in the leadership’s mantra of “first happy people then healthy profits”.
Creda Communications Executive Chairperson Jacquie Golding and Group Managing Director Eugene Brandt agree that “our Creda family is vital to ensuring we remain a Credible, Reliable, Empowered, Diverse and Accountable company”.
Brandt is passionate about ensuring Creda spearheads change. “Change begins at home and transformations are occurring rapidly within our own company. Ensuring the welfare of our people is paramount.” Brandt’s drive and enthusiasm coupled with Golding’s determination has seen many employees at Creda Communications celebrate the recognition they now receive from management. Supported by a strong group of directors in both Operations, Sales, Finance and in their Gauteng region, the Creda Communications team is quite formidable.
Loyal employees recently received long service awards celebrating their dedication to Creda Communications. “I have been at the company for more than a decade and I am happiest now,” said Pamela Stanfield or Auntie Pam as she is fondly referred to. “The people all feel like they play a major part in the success of the company now.”
Golding believes that respect goes a long way in ensuring a healthy company ranging from respect for the skills people have to respect for clients and their
needs.
Brandt says the emphasis is on retaining people who have served the company on a long-term basis and who meet the empowerment requirements set by government, means “that we are leading the way in transformation in the graphics communications business”.Adds Golding, whose record as one of the country’s top journalists with top publications like Business Day and the Mail & Guardian and business track record made the industry notice her appointment with keen interest, adds: “It is really a great time to be involved in business in this country, because the voice of women permeates the business environment like never before and now any person with the right approach can make it, especially in an organization like Creda.”
Golding and Brandt have already redesigned their flagship publication, Blueprint, to be the most important print industry publication. They are also proudly associated with companies who have recently scooped the Sefika Awards for recognition in excellence in the publishing arena. A competitively astute team remain at the helm of Creda Communications.
