DAM the filing, and update your image

Creda has recently upgraded their widely used image library, to a technologically advanced Digital Asset Management Database to better serve the retailing industry and supply superior service to their customers. The new system allows retailers to have digital images of their products stored on a database for easy compilation of marketing and promotional material.

“Digital Asset Management (DAM) enables us to support our retail clients with compiling and designing brochures, pamphlets or any other promotional material at the drop of a hat” says Derek Prouse, Origination Director at Creda. “There is no need for a photographer to go out and take pictures of products prior to a promotion, because we will already have it all on the database here, and can simply drop any images into a template for which a design has already been done” he continued.

According to Derek, the main advantage of this technology is a huge time saving for retailers, which allows them to go to press at the latest possible time, enabling them to keep their prices confidential, and ensuring a significant advantage over competitors.

“Retailers are now able to only divulge their promotional prices late Thursday afternoon, and still have their pamphlets ready for delivery and distribution by early Friday morning for example – ensuring that retailers who use this technology can secure a competitive edge over rivals by having the best prices in the industry, and yet be distributing marketing material at the same time as competitors” he continues.

It is a well known fact that time and price are two shaping forces in the retail industry, and with the DAM System traders are now able to use both of these through advancements in technology to give them the edge.

According to Stan Hannath, MD of Creda, the Management System is yet another extension of the full service provider journey that Creda has embarked on. “We do not merely see ourselves as printers, but rather as strategic partners to our clients that assist them in achieving their business objectives on every step of the graphic communication path, helping the retailer to be the best they can be.”

It still rings true that time is money, and with the Digital Asset Management system, retailers can use both these to their full advantage.
