Jacquie Golding as Chairperson and Eugene Brandt as
Managing Director
With an equity ownership of more than 50%, Creda has diversified its executive management team with the appointment of Jacquie Golding as Chairperson and Eugene Brandt as Managing Director.
The duo is transforming the company in an effort to make it more competitive in an increasingly challenging market.
The Creda brand has an impressive track record spanning more than 50 years -- and has been the bastion of printing for several decades. With the new shareholders and fresh young faces, the company is in the process of reinventing itself while maintaining a solid foundation entrenched in years of solid service to an established client base. With a strong presence in book printing, its clients include Maskew Miller and Juta, among others. Aside from printing, it also provides creative design services to Amway and Metcash. It is in this arena that the company hopes to offer its customers added value.
Creda stands for credibility, reliability, empowerment, diversity and accountability. “Our vision for the future is to provide solutions in the creation, management and distribution of print and print-related products and services from design to delivery. We’d like to partner with our customers in finding cost-effective solutions to meet their various business needs,” adds Golding. Golding argues that diversifying is key to the long term strategic direction of the company. “We aim to lead transformation in the graphic communications sector. Our black empowerment partnership guarantees continued growth for the company, our employees, suppliers and clients,” she says. Creda’s EmpowerDEX rating is among the highest in South Africa and is in part due to the recent change in the executive management team of the company.
“The foundation of our company is respect, honesty, self-discipline and adding value. We’re an exciting and rich tapestry of people with a diverse range of skills. Some of the employees have been here for more than 30 years and we often have more than one member of a family working here. Eugene, our MD, and I believe in an open-door policy and encourage staff to share ideas, problems and opportunities with us.
Brandt and Golding are experts in their respective fields. The former is previously the sales director of CTP Printers while the latter has a long track record as a journalist for some of South Africa’s top newspapers including Business Day, Mail and Guardian and Independent Newspapers. She also has a diploma from the London Academy of Film as well as being a recent graduate from UCT’s Graduate School of Business. Brandt is highly regarded in the print industry and his credentials include serving on the Joint Board of the Printing Federation for the Union, serving as elected committee member for SATU Western Cape and a former judge for SAPPI National and International Printing Awards.
