Solutions > Print

Creda’s core function, print, holds the primary antecedent of the company’s half century of success. With highly committed and skilled operators working in conjunction with the most advanced print technology, it is no surprise that Creda is a regular winner at most print awards ceremonies.

If you’re using film Creda promises you can do better, than this outdated, costly method of repro. We urge all of our customers to take advantage of such cost savings, and substantial improvements in quality and turnaround time with the use of the Computer-to-Plate process. We have literally saved customers millions...

Retrieval and Storage
An additional advantage of CTP is in Creda’s ability to offer customers easy retrieval and storage. All files can be sorted and placed in folders using logical naming conventions, which are then placed on a server. Once the job is completed, the file is then backed up for easy retrieval, giving customers the option of expedient and simple retrieval for reprinting or further editing. As a further storage security tool, two copies of the file are backed up to tape for the unlikely event of file damage.

Traditional Print
Creda’s Print division includes in its two plants some of the most advanced print machines in South Africa, including Heidelberg and Komori presses.Creda offers solutions for every print need, including single, short-run, print-on-demand to five- and six-colour, high-speed sheet-fed printing with various finishes, including inline coating, machine varnishing, UV-varnishing and film lamination.

Computer-to-Plate
With Kodak and Heidelberg Platesetters. CTP offers customers impeccable quality as it side-steps the analogue film process to burn plates directly from the original file. This allows customers improved lead times, both in skipping the need for a repro agency visit and in machine make-ready time. Further, there are implicit cost savings, especially for book and magazine publishers, or for large brochure work, where positives form a significant part of the budget. In making plates directly from the original file, and cutting out any quality loss in a 2nd generation dot, customer can avoid these costs.

Colour Management System
This Colour Management is another feature that differentiates Creda from other pretenders. A seamless digital pre-press workflow with an impeccably calibrated colour management system that manages colour security from the original file onto the press means that Creda’s proofing regimes are as near to perfect as is possible.

Variable Data Printing
Variable data printing via Creda’s digital presses allows customers to personalise and customise content on every sheet printed in full colour. The digital machines are incredibly powerful allowing high-speed transfer of information to the press, which allow it to work in conjunction with a database of content and mailing lists. This high-speed transfer enables customers to take advantage of expedient turnaround times, whilst customising and personalising content for each and every sheet that comes through the press.

Multiple Outputs
Finally, we look at our function in print as communication that traverses a number of media outputs. All of our work originates from a digital file, whether it is developed by Creda Creative, or is taken from a customer’s disk. From here, the customer faces a number of options. That digital file can be sent to the presses for hard-copy print, it can be transformed into HTML for the customer’s website, it can be put into a PDF for the web or for e-mail, or it can be converted into a CD-Rom presentation. These multiple outputs allow the customer maximum flexibility in the creation of communication material.
